In the two weeks that I have had with this laptop there was not a single moment where I said “ ah thank god I have the touch bar instead of actual keys”. It’s not like they are unusable by any stretch of the imagination and am sure I will get used to them at some point, I just think they aren’t as satisfying to type on as the old MacBook keyboards. Apple’s new magic keyboards are praised by most reviewers on being better than the old butterfly keyboards but I am not sure if the bar was set that high. I should pretext this by saying, this laptop has replaced my old 2014 MacBook Air and the keyboard on that laptop was excellent.
